We are proud to showcase one of our favorite projects – a custom windshield and roof for a small lobster boat on Lac-St-Louis. Our client came to us with a problem – their original windshield was too small, and they needed protection from the sun and spray while out on the water.
We worked closely with the client to ensure that the new windshield was not only taller but also maintained the classic look of the boat. We carefully built a mold for the new windshield and used solid fiberglass to create the final product. We also built a mold for the roof, which we used for another project, a Hallberg-Rassy hardtop.
The roof was constructed using balsa core, and we created rebates in the windshield to accept the custom acrylic windows before the roof and windshield were painted. The result was a beautiful and functional addition to the boat, and the owner was thrilled with the outcome.
